Busy Bee

Hey everyone!!

I know, it's been a very long time since I last blogged. But my life has been a gigantic roller coaster for the past few weeks. Thankfully, there have been more ups than downs. But seriously, there has been a lot going on.

Lets start with the downs and get them out of the way. Trenton and I broke up. :( After seven months of being with him, skypeing, phone calls, spending most of my breaks with him instead of my own family, he said he couldn't take the long distance anymore and ended our relationship. Well, he said he wanted a break, but we all know that that's just code for wanting out of a relationship. And what's really funny is that four hours prior to the break up, I told a friend of mine that I really loved him and that he was the guy for me. But then, at midnight on February 1st, it was all over. But my roommate was there with me and she helped me out during the breakup. I called my mother and she was very supportive and talked with me for about an hour. It really helped me get through the night.

The next day at school, my friends had just heard about it from facebook, (he changed his relationship status before I did that morning. :P) and they were very nice to me about it. My friend Alli and I went out to whole foods after class and had a nice lunch. Then we went shopping in a couple stores in Times Square, including the candy land part of the big Toys 'R Us store. It was really fun! Nothing makes you feel better then shopping after a break up!! :D My friends are seriously the most awesome people ever and I'm glad that I had them with me. So thanks again to Danielle, Dee, Ally, Alli, and Caleb for making a bad day good again.

A few weeks later, on February 13th I was looking facebook and saw that Trenton just got into a new relationship just in time for Valentine's Day. I felt like I should have been more upset about it than I was. But when I saw it, I just glanced at it for a moment before moving on. I guess that's a good sign that I'm doing okay. :D

Ok, now lets move on to something happy.

One of the main reasons, besides school work, that I wasn't able to write is that I got into the Winter/Spring ensemble group at school. For those who don't know what that is, it's when the actors in the film acting groups get to audition for four one act plays. Me and three other people from my section got into one. I was in the show "Pillow Talk" directed by Peter Stone. It's about a couple who goes to seek marital counseling and it goes horribly wrong. I got to play one of the counselors, Tiffany Heaven.

This play is the first where I had to do physical comedy and even a little bit of stage combat. For those who know me, you know that I lean more towards dramatic shows and scenes. So I was a little out of my element on this one. But this show was really fun to do and turned out really well. :)

Plus, my Dad flew up from Austin to come and see the show! It was his first time in New York, and I was very excited to see him. We got to skating at the Rockefeller Center after the show. It felt really good to be skating after years of not having a decent ice rink. I'll have to go again before they close for the season.

The next day, we got up early to go out for breakfast at a nice little restaurant on 94th street. Then we decided to take a cab and go up to the empire state building. The view was incredible! It's something I will never forget!

Then, as the cherry on our little tourist adventure, we walked a little ways up the Brooklyn Bridge. It was amazing! And I'm so glad that I got to share it with my dad.

But, all good things must come to end, and he left for home later that day. Sure it's sad that I had to say goodbye so soon, but I get to see him and my mom and sister when I come down there for spring break! :D

I can't wait to move to LA. Don't get me wrong, I love NY and I always will. But I don't love this cold weather. At first it was refreshing after the the record heat of Texas, triple digits for three weeks straight. But now, I really just want to be in the heat. Plus, all the cute clothes are for Spring/Summer seasons. Sure there are some cute Fall/Winter looks, but they have cuter looks for warmer weather.

It also looks like I found someone who will be my roommate when I go to LA!! Her name is Sam, and she's from Boston. She's really nice and a little crazy, which is a good thing. We're still looking at places that we can live in that's cheap and close by to save money on gas. There is one that two of my friends are looking at that's about five minutes away. It's leaning towards the top of what I want to pay for rent, but since it's really close, I might just do it. Plus I might be able to carpool with Sam and my other friends that way it'll be easier on all of our cars and gas bills. But we'll see what happens.

One more thing before I go, I'm turning 21 one in only NINE MORE DAYS!! I'm so excited! I can finally buy my own wine!! I have the whole day off from school so me and a couple of my friends are planning to hang out and drink in the evening. But I might have to end the party around midnight because most of us have class the next day. I'll still go, but I'm going to have a massive hangover. Hopefully, nothing bad will happen to us like in the movie. ;)

Well that's all for now. I'll try to update at least once a week!

Until then, catch you later! <3
